Sporting hot-prospect striker, who was linked to Manchester City, completes move to Lille
Former Sporting striker Rafael Leão has completed his move to Ligue 1 side Lille.
The 19-year old had been without a club having terminated his own contract with Sporting last month after the violent scenes at the club's Alcochete training ground, where the players and coaches alike were attacked by a group of their own fans.
The striker had been linked with big-money moves to the likes of Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund, but has ultimately ended up moving to Ligue 1, seeing him link up with compatriots Jose Fonte and Edgar Ie at Lille.
Despite his teenage years, Rafael Leão has played for the Portugal U21 side three times already, further evidence of the high regard the young striker is held in in his country.
