Ivan Marcano returns to FC Porto
Former Porto centreback Ivan Marcano has returned to the club.
The 32-year old, who joined Roma at the start of last season after his contract with Porto came to an end, will cost the Primeira Liga runners-up 5 million euros.
The Spanish defender, who has never represented his country at senior level, comes back after a disappointing campaign with AS Roma.
In total, he played just 10 Serie A matches last campaign, while he also featured in 2 Champions League matches, one of which was in the 3-1 defeat to FC Porto.
Marcano’s arrival comes after both Eder Militao and Felipe left the club, both moving to the Spanish capital as Militao joined Real Madrid and Felipe joined local rivals Atletico.
Porto will be hoping that he can have a similar impact to the last time he was at the club, having already represented the Primeira Liga outfit 157 times across all competitions.
