Ivo Pinto arrives at Rio Ave, adding more European experience
With Diogo Figueiras returning to parent club SC Braga, a void needed to be filled at right back at Rio Ave, and with a Europa League clash with Borac Banja Luka of Bosnia and Herzegovina just around the corner, Ivo Pinto comes into the club to offer some additional experience in UEFA competitions.
The Dinamo Zagreb right back, who has also previously played for Cluj and Norwich and was most recently on loan at Famalicao, arrives on a season-long loan, returning to the club that he was on the books of back in the 2011-12 season.
The 30-year old has played over 40 games across both the Champions League and Europa League, and his experience could be invaluable to Rio Ave if they are to make a run in this season’s Europa League campaign.
