Greek giants Olympiakos are set to complete the signing of Vitoria Guimaraes midfielder Pêpê on a permanent deal, with the Portuguese expected to sign a four-year contract.

The 23-year old had a very accomplished season with Guimaraes in the 2019-20 campaign, playing 46 games across all competitions, including 31 in the Primeira Liga and 10 in the Europa League, as he fully cemented himself as a key player for the side.

The former Benfica youngster, who has represented Portugal at every youth level from the Under-15s to the Under-21s, is expected to cost Olympiakos in the region of 6 million euros, with Benfica set to bring in 3 million euros from the sale, having maintained 50% of his economic rights when he joined Guimaraes last summer on a free transfer.

Olympiakos already boast a strong Portuguese contingent, managed by Portugal’s Pedro Martins, while compatriots Ruben Semedo and Jose Sa also play for the club.
