Mourinho's Manchester United thrashed by Spurs as pressure builds

Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho has suffered back-to-back defeats with Manchester United, with defeat to Brighton followed by a 3-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur.

Mourinho had grown increasingly frustrated by United's transfer dealings this summer, and the lack of defensive ability was clearly on show today as Spurs - who signed no players this window - put three past Mourinho's men.

Harry Kane got the first goal, while Lucas Moura got the following two to ensure a devastating day in the office for the former Porto manager.

Manchester United are currently in thirteenth in the league table, with just three points from their opening three games.

Mourinho has grown a reputation for leaving clubs in his third season at the helm, and growing discontent among fans of the club is making it look increasingly likely that such a trend could continue. 

This defeat to Tottenham is Mourinho's biggest home defeat in his entire managerial career.
