Vitoria Guimarães confirm former Portugal international Tiago as their new manager
Vitoria SC have confirmed former Portugal international Tiago as their new manager.
The 39-year old, who worked alongside Diego Simeone at Atletico Madrid, will embark on his first ever adventure as a head coach, succeeding Ivo Vieira.
His only other experience as a coach came as assistant manager to Simeone in the 2017-18 campaign.
Tiago, who represented Portugal 66 times, played for Benfica and Atletico Madrid, among others, in a playing career that spanned 18 years.
Guimarães finished 7th in the league table in the 2019-20 season, missing out on Europa League football.
