João Felix a doubt for Portugal's clash with Serbia

João Felix could be out of contention for Portugal’s match against Serbia on Monday, having left training early due to a complaint during a warm-up session.

He has since been observed by the doctors ahead of the game, which is to kick off at 19:45 tomorrow.

In a press conference, manager Fernando Santos said that “yesterday, Felix trained well” but he since “had discomfort in his foot” and had to head to the dressing room before the rest of the players.

However, Santos also said that he doesn’t think “it’s anything too serious”, giving him a 50/50 chance of being ready for the next fixture.

Felix, 19, has been a star performer for Benfica this season, scoring 10 league goals in 18 Primeira Liga outings, 12 goals across all competitions.

The teenager has even been linked with the likes of Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus due to the stunning season he has had in Portugal.
